CROSO's Executive Director Accepts University of Dayton Alumni Award
Written by Beth Garstki Lampson, President of the CROSO Board of Directors
In the midst of all the exciting news about our CROSO Scholars, graduates, and our upcoming 10th Annual Benefit, I'd like to take a quick break and share a wonderful update about our own Executive Director and Founder, Molly MacCready. Molly was recently honored by her alma mater, the University of Dayton, by being awarded the Joe Belle Memorial Young Alumni Award. This award "is designed to recognize young alumni who carry that same spirit and have shown great promise and accomplishment in their chosen profession and/or service to their community or to the University of Dayton and its mission." Molly received this award for her work with CROSO! Says Molly of her award, "receiving this recognition from UD has been an incredible affirmation of the work I've done with CROSO for the past ten years. I'm honestly still overwhelmed by the support of the University of Dayton community."
As an Executive Committee member for 5 years running and now as Board President, I am pretty much in constant contact with Molly. I know better than most (except for maybe her husband Sean) the extent of the hard work, time, and sheer dedication Molly continues to put into her work with CROSO. Molly consistently embodies the mantra she repeats in her acceptance speech - Learn, Lead, Serve…Repeat. This award is not only well-deserved, it is a long time coming.
Please join the CROSO Board in extending a heartfelt congratulations to Molly, and a thank you to the UD community for honoring our Executive Director. We are so incredibly proud to have such a great leader of our organization. Cheers to you Molly!
